Annual Council is the legislative body of the Australian Alliance; a gathering of licensed workers and churche respresentatives, who meet for business, spiritual renewal, fellowship and encouragement.
The theme for Sydney Council 2012 is Caught by the Wind.
Wind can be unpredictable. It can be a gentle breeze that harmlessly rustles the leaves or a strong wind that bends the branches and whips up the dust or a howling gale that brings down trees. The Holy Spirit is unpredictable too. He may gently caress our faces seeking to stir up our hearts or He may stir up our world with dynamic force inspiring us to new heights of praise, witness and mission. Council is a time to stir up the Alliance calling, vision and passion.
All are Welcome
Everyone in the Alliance family is welcome to enjoy public worship, intercessory prayer, inspiring messages, and mutual encouragement. The Special Men’s Luncheon will be held on Thursday and the Special Women's Luncheon on Friday.
Childcare for babies and toddlers will be provided at open meetings and special luncheons.
On Saturday 4 Jan, 9am - 12.00pm a Church Leaders' Workshop will be run. In it Rev Bill Malick, our Council speaker will focus on ten important behaviours that arise from the book of Acts. These factors led to people coming to Christ, the development of leaders and churches being born. The workshop is open to all not just pastors.
Venue
All meetings are held at Rydges Camperdown Hotel. http://www.rydges.com a 3.5 star hotel conference facility, in an inner city suburb near Sydney University, just 20 minutes from Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport.
Accommodation is in air-conditioned, hotel style (double or twin share) ensuite rooms with tea and coffee making facilities. Facilities include restaurant, bar and swimming pool. The Registration Form is no longer available since Registrations have now closed, however, you are still very welcome to join us at the public meetings.
