How can I learn more about God?
Contrary to popular opinion, knowing about God and His Son
Jesus won't send you to sleep! In fact knowing God in a personal
way is the most exciting thing in the world.
To know about God we need to understand that . .
.
God created humanity
This world of ours was created by God. You and I also were
created by God. God, not by mere chance, is our originator.
He therefore has authority over us. He is our Master (*see
Genesis 1:26,27).
Humanity is alienated from its creator
God is a person and we can know Him in a personal way. However,
we don’t automatically have a relationship with God,
the Bible tells us. We are told that although man was created
by God, he rebelled against his Creator and the relationship
was broken. All mankind finds himself in this predicament
of being alienated from God. Far from being friends with God
humanity is described as being at enmity with God having gone
its own way (**see Romans 3:9-19;23).
God loves humanity but He cannot ignore our disobedience.
Humanity can't save itself
Owing to God's moral perfection, and the fact that man falls
short of God's standard (***see Romans
3:23), we can’t restore our relationship with God.
We owe Him too great a debt.
What is the solution to humanity's dilemma?

* Gen
1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our
image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of
the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over
all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along
the ground."
* Gen 1:27 So God created
man in his own image, in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

3:9-19 What shall we conclude then? Are we any better
? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and
Gentiles alike are all under sin. 10 As it is written: "There
is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who
understands, no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away,
they have together become worthless; there is no one who does
good, not even one." 13 "Their throats are open
graves; their tongues practice deceit." "The poison
of vipers is on their lips." 14 "Their mouths are
full of cursing and bitterness." 15 "Their feet
are swift to shed blood; 16 ruin and misery mark their ways,
17 and the way of peace they do not know." 18 "There
is no fear of God before their eyes." 19 Now we know
that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under
the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole
world held accountable to God.

glory of God...
